1970

Tomasz Wolski — Poland — 2021 — 70'

When protests broke out in Communist Poland in late 1970 against price increases, a crisis team gathered in Warsaw. With the help of animations combined with telephone recordings, we can peek behind closed doors of the dignitaries’ offices. We can witness their fear and brutality as the protests get out of control. 1970 is a story about rebellion but told from the perspective of the oppressors.
