Daniele is a young man from Sant’Erasmo, on the edges of the Venice Lagoon. He lives isolated from his peer group who explores an existence of pleasure-seeking expressed in the cult of the “barchino” – the building of dangerously fast racing boats. Driven by a restless energy and a fetishistic relationship with his speedboat, Daniele risks his life to win the respect of his friends.
