Nationalité immigré
Sidney Sokhona — France — 1975 — 70'
A Mauritanian worker, Sidi, works in France. Like most immigrant workers, he is employed in the hardest and most dangerous jobs. Sidi and his colleagues are systematically and constantly exploited, both by their bosses and by their own compatriots, who offer fake work cards and slums where immigrants buy the right to sleep at the highest price. But faced with racism and economic exploitation, immigrant workers come together, and organize.
Film is a part of the dyptich presented together with short film Resumption of Work at the Wonder Factory selected by Pavle Levi who will stir up the conversation with the audience after the screenings.
