December 1969, Thelonious Monk arrives in Paris. Before his concert, he recorded a program for French TV. The rushes that have been preserved show us a rare Thelonious Monk who is in the grip of the violent factory of stereotypes from which he tries to escape. The film besides picturing this great artist, also portrays the media machine as ridiculous as revolting.
