The film is a partially animated coming-of-age story during the global refugee crisis. After their mother dies, Runa and her brothers, together with their depressed father, try to establish a new life in Poland. Runa wants to study and become a lawyer. Her biggest fear is an imminent return to Iraq, where the Kurds are threatened by ISIS. Runa finds solace in drawing and thus processes her trauma and fears.
