If the place in Bosnia ― Ravnice did not have a border with the European Union, it would be a peaceful place. People from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Burundi pass through rain and snow and arrive in Ravnice. The locals, once refugees themselves, offer them refuge in the old school. Life goes on. Wood is cut, corn is harvested, the imam calls for prayer. On the other side of the border, birds circle the sky
