Beldocs is one of the largest documentary film festivals in Southeast Europe, which by celebrating the specificity of documentary film creates a unique space for freedom of expression and thought, promotion of bold, young authors, honouring established great names of film and introducing the local audience with the constant evolution of film language and film forms.
However, Beldocs could not exist without the support of individuals, organizations and funds. Explore ways in which you can become part of the support network and help us remain a place for meeting, sharing, learning and freedom! With your donations, you help our work and directly contribute to Beldocs independency and sustainability!
We are proud of the path we have pursued from the first festival edition in 2008, during which only fifteen films were shown, to the present when Beldocs has grown to include four competition programmes (Serbian, International, Best Short and Teen), over one hundred films, dozens of world and regional premiers, two retrospectives, Country in Focus Programme and a rich Industry program, where local and foreign films are being developed.
„The professionalism and generosity was world class. I have come home so inspired and with new friends that I hope to keep for many years to come. I feel as if I have been restored from pristine spring water after drinking too long from a dirty puddle – thank you. ”
Chivas DeVinck, New York-based filmmaker, director of “The Great Basin”
