The Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival Brings Over 80 Films from Around the World and Outstanding Local Documentaries
Belgrade will once again host one of the most important documentary film festivals in this part of Europe — the Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival, taking place from May 21 to 27 at multiple venues across the capital. Audiences can expect a diverse and carefully curated program featuring a large number of Serbian films, with special attention given to local filmmakers, as well as some of the most significant works from the global documentary scene — international festival hits and award-winning titles.
As part of both competition and non-competition sections, more than 80 films will be screened, including a significant number of national, European, and world premieres. The films explore a wide range of topics such as education, the relationship between humans and animals, society, biographical stories, art and music, science and technology, historical perspectives, as well as witty and observational film essays on everyday life.
The rich festival program is also tailored to film professionals, who will have the opportunity to take part in various Beldocs Industry activities — including trainings, workshops, talks, panels, and masterclasses, some of which will be open to the public. International filmmakers will develop and present their new projects with the support of renowned mentors and decision-makers — including representatives of broadcasters, film festivals, cinemas, VOD platforms, film funds, and sales companies from the region, Europe, and beyond.
Ticket sales begin at the end of April via the official Beldocs website, and the audience will be timely informed about the full schedule and film availability.
