Otvorene prijave za Balkan Young Talents

Balkan Young Talents is the fresh initiative developed jointly by Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival and Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC).

We are looking for 8 young talents (18 – 30 years old) that want to make compelling and visually strong short documentary films.

We are inviting filmmakers from Western Balkans – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia to apply for 3 session- program which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia in May 2025 during Beldocs Industry Days, online and in Sarajevo, September 2025 during Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days at AJB DOC.

The intense 3 days program at Beldocs Industry Days 2025 aims to foster creativity, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and encourage networking. Lectures, panels and one to one mentoring will provide the participants with the basic theoretical and practical techniques in order to develop short documentaries.

Over the summer the participants under guidance of experienced mentors will work on their short documentary films, where projects will be presented to a group of international documentary film professionals during Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days at AJB DOC, with the possibility to screen finished films on their platforms as short formats.
